Newt is a chocolate lab/hound mix. He is 4 months old and quite the cuddle bug. He loves to be with people, kids, and other animals. He really is a very sweet and playful pup. He isn't a fan of loud noises and will run to be with his people. A little reassurance and he is fine. He recently found his big boy bark. But a firm "quiet" and he stops. He likes to chew on his Kong with a little bit of peanut butter inside as well as chewing on a doggy rope. He also carries around his dish for fun. He walks great on a leash and is really good in the car. He will lay down on the floor and likely fall asleep. He is not very adventurous and sticks tight to his people when he is outside. He does need a close eye on him outside because he likes to eat rocks, mulch, and sticks. He is kennel trained and working on being potty trained. He is learning from our dog that when he goes to the door he gets to go outside. He also utilizes puppy pads. He will make a great addition to any family.

We are 100% volunteer based, so on occasion it could take more than the standard 24 hours.
