Mia was adopted as a puppy and spent six years with her family before life changes brought her back to rescue—through no fault of her own. Now she’s searching for her true forever family!  Mia is the best of both worlds: mellow enough to enjoy lounging in a sunny spot or snuggled up on the couch, but still perky enough to light up when it’s time for a walk. She has a passion for destroying any stuffed toy that comes her way and “burying” her bones where only she can find them. Don’t worry, no actual digging, she just hides them in blankets or under leaves. She knows the basic commands of sit and lay down. Mia responds very well to her name and comes when called. She is very gentle with her food and treats. She’s potty trained, rides like a champ in the car, and walks nicely on a leash—unless, of course, a squirrel dares to cross her path. This sweet girl is dog-friendly, people-friendly, and has a calm, quiet nature that makes her an easy companion.
