Neeko is the sweetest little cuddle bug ever ! He is 11 pounds of pure puppy love. He is happy to just sit on your lap and snuggle all day and night. He is very sweet and gentle with children, and he does great with other dogs. We have not had him around any cats, but he has barked at the neighbors cat when its been in the yard. Other than the cat incident, he really hasn't barked very much, other than when he is playing with his foster sisters. They tend to gang up on him, but he can certainly hold his own and he loves running around the yard and playing with them. He can run very fast, and a fenced-in backyard would be the best option for him. Neeko is primarily very quiet and mellow, but he can also be a playful little puppy. Right now, his favorite toys are a ball and rope. He has never chewed on anything other than his toys. He really is a good boy.
He is completely house trained, but on 2 occasions we were gone just a bit too long and he went potty on the training pads like a good boy. He will go in his kennel without complaint, but he does get very excited when you come home and let him out. He has a high-pitched little scream that he does when he is very excited, which is surprising loud considering how quiet he is normally.
Neeko is still learning how to walk on a leash, but he is doing well and loves to go for walks. He does not like large puddles, and he will stop walking and sit on the ground if he cant find a way around them.
Neeko is very good about bed time. When we say its time for bed, Neeko goes into his own bed (on the floor next to his foster parents bed) and he doesn't make any noise until we get up in the morning - other than the occasional sneeze.
Neeko isn't the biggest eater, and he definitely prefers wet-food over the dry stuff, but if he gets hungry enough, he will eventually eat what is there. Neeko doesn't beg for food, but he does love to be near his humans and will lay down just inside the dining room during dinner time.
Neeko is around 11 months old, and was surrendered by an elderly person (In Kentucky) that was moving into an assisted living and could no longer care for him.
