Hi! My name is Niguel (I also respond to my previous name of Fox) . Unfortunately, the last family that adopted me had to give me up, it just didn't work out with them. They have a little 1 yo and I think I'm just too big and want to play too much so I'm back at the foster home I was in previously. I'm okay with both males and females and the home where I'm at now has a resident dog (12 you Golden) and another foster puppy who has just as much energy as I have but she is quite a bit smaller and sometimes I get a little too rough with her. We do have fun playing tug-o-war though! They also have 3 cats here - I don't bother them much at all when they are in the house. When we are outside I want to chase them a little bit but that's about all I do is chase. I am house-trained - no accidents at all since I've been here. I don't mind my crate and by 10:00 I'm ready to get in and hunker down for the night. I must have a little Husky in me because sometimes I do a little "talking" when I'm first put in there but only for a couple of minutes. Right now I'm only left home 1 day a week and, again, do fine in my kennel but I sure am ready to play when I get let out. I like being around my people and I tend to follow them when they leave the room and that includes trying to follow them into the bathroom. I like to curl up by my people’s feet next to the chair or under the table if that is where they are sitting. I like to cuddle up on the bed with my foster brother - because he lets me - and sometimes I try when someone is sitting in a chair but they keep telling me that I'm too big to be a lap dog. I really like my walks and do pretty good on the leash. I even know how to heel though my person needs to remind me sometimes but it's only because the resident dog Stella doesn't have to be on a leash and I want to be with her - or the cats are out walking with us and I want to chase them. I do know the commands "sit" and "come." I don’t bark too much, unless I see something outside. Oh, and when I see new objects in the yard or in the field - like new bales of hay that were not there the day before - I might growl and bark at them, but otherwise I'm pretty friendly. One of the things I really have to work on is not jumping up on people but it is usually only when I'm excited. I would love to come live with someone who has a big fenced in yard and/or someone who is active and likes to take walks or runs or hikes! Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, rabies vaccination, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Distemper combo vaccines appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, heartworm and flea/tick preventative while in rescue.
