Corgi / Mixed (medium coat) : : Male : : Adult : : Medium
Hi! My name is Albert, I am a corgi mix born approimately 1/2020. I love to play! If my foster sister won’t play with me, and my cousin Jack isn’t around to play with me, I’ll run in circles around the backyard to show off my quick Corgi moves, or play fetch with my foster mom. I’ve met a cat, but she didn’t want to have anything to do with me, so I don’t really know how I’ll get along with cats. I love being around other dogs and children: they’re a lot of fun! I’m pretty well house trained, though my foster mom says my “signal” is more subtle than she’d like: I just wander towards the door when I need to go out. And, if there’s anything more fun to do once I’m outside, I sometimes forget why I wanted to go out in the first place. I am learning what “get busy” and “go potty” mean, though. I’ve been good in the car after my first trip, and walk pretty well on a leash. But I do get distracted and pull towards squirrels, rabbits, people and dogs whether they’re in front, to the side, or in back of me. Sometimes I sit down in the middle of the sidewalk to give people more time to notice me. My foster mom hasn’t been kenneling me, but she thinks I’m so sweet and good-natured, I won’t have any trouble with it. She also says I’m still very much a puppy, and has been distracting me from shredding paper, gnawing shoes and getting too mouthy with her or my foster sister by giving me chewies. It usually works, though she’s taken to hiding the tastiest shoes, putting papers out of my reach and scolding me when I get mouthy. Which is hard, because I really like to snuggle and be petted, and stretch out to my full length so there is more of me to pet! I’m really a very good boy, and am learning just as quick as I can! Will you help teach me and give me my forever home?
