Hi, my name is Nemo.  I am a cockapoo born approx. 5/4/22 I am very scared and slow to warn up.  With love and patience I now trust my foster mom and my foster dad is getting there.  I still run when my foster mom tries to pick me up but quickly give up the chase because I really do like being held and petted.  My favorite place in the house is where I can lie down and watch her.

 

I am not house trained, but think it will be easier when I get over being so scared.  I'm not fond of the kennel.  I howl and howl.  I think they call it separation anxiety.  I'm OK as long as my kong doesn't run out of filling.  I love my foster's grandkids.  They're so good to me but still try to hide from them.  I love all other dogs.  I have had friends over to play but am pretty lonesome when they leave.  I'm slowly learning to walk on a leash.  It's very foreign to me and only short walks for now.  I enjoy car rides because I have my own car seat and can see out the whole time -- just as long as my foster mom is in sight.  

 

Right now I pretty much just lie around and sleep.  I wish I had a friend here all the time.  I've heard talk of possibly getting me one.  I'm very playful with other dogs but my humans scare me too much to play with them yet.  They've given me some really fun toys and find each day I like them better.  So all in all, this isn't such a bad place to be.  I just need to work on my trust issues yet.
