Meet Willy! He is a German Shepherd mix born approx. 11/1/22. If you are looking for a dog who thinks he is a Guinea Pig, this is your dog (pictures for proof)! Willy may physically be a dog, but in his heart, he is a guinea ready to show you all his love! When Willy first came to our house, he and his sister were just a bundle of excitement, and they still are. As the last week plus has gone by, he has shown us what a true love bug he is, and oh my goodness, is he smart!  Willy is good with Guinea Pigs (obviously, since he thinks he is one), and to a certain extent, birds. Birds you say?! Yes! Although there does seem a desire to eat the bird.  Due to this reason, we are continuing with a very slow introduction process that is a daily occurrence. Willy has had exposure to cats, and although he liked the cats, they didn’t seem to like him, probably because of his puppy energy. He is very friendly with people and kids, although the youngest child he has been around is an 8-year-old girl. Willy loves to follow me around everywhere, but he also loves my 13-year-old son and 16-year-old daughter so there are times I play second fiddle. He will lay on the couch with any of us, and he watches tv (although it was DogTV). Willy also loves going for walks and playing with toys.

We are currently working on Willy’s love of chewing things, which includes toes, so that he will hopefully stop wanting to chew on anything he can find. He is a puppy, so not uncommon, but he just really seems to enjoy it more than his sister.

This boy is so much fun and so loving that whoever ends up adopting him will be so grateful, and although our hearts will hurt to see him go, it will bring a smile to our faces to know he has his furever family.

Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, rabies vaccination if age appropriate, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Distemper combo vaccines appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, heartworm and flea/tick preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $595.00
