Nexus is a 2-year-old, approximately 11 lb, Chi Mix.  She isn't your run of the mill, every-day chi mix however, Nexus is a hero.  Nexus was found in Tijuana, Mexico where even though she was in desperate need herself, she refused to be rescued until she'd led her rescuer to an empty lot where several other dogs needing rescue would be found.  She was the connection that got 8 dogs rescued and that was the inspiration for her name.

In her everyday non-hero life, Nexus is an easy-going, happy dog.  She enjoys being on our laps or held in our arms and she gives the best hugs.  She's also perfectly happy to be sleeping in a dog bed at our feet while we work during the day.  Nexus loves dog toys and she loves to play.  She prances with joy when I toss a toy in the air for her to go after.  She's going to be a great pal for playing fetch with once she gets the return down.  Nexus is good with our two resident dogs, and also does well with our resident cat.  We have not had her around children.  Nexus is doing very well with walking on a leash and house training.

Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $495.00

We are 100% volunteer based, so on occasion it could take more than the standard 24 hours.
