Hi, I'm Nook, an energetic 8 week old Terrier mix with a ton of love to give and lots of adventures to be had.  I am a follower of all people and dogs, will come on command, and I'm very eager to learn.  I am super smart and playful, but need gentle reminders that I should only put things in my mouth like food or toys (not hands or slippers!) I really like to chew on sticks and carry them around the backyard at my foster home.  I am still learning how to walk on a leash and only potty outside, but my foster parents say that I'm super smart and I'm getting the hang of it fast.  I'm good with kids, babies, and cats (I back off when they meow or hiss at me).  I'm still young, so I don't understand yet that I shouldn't put my paws on people as my little nails are very sharp, but I'm a good listener and will stop when I'm told.  My favorite toys are balls, fake wood chews, and my chew keys.  I love to carry my balls all over the place and chase them all over the yard.  I'm a great napper and really enjoy cuddling too! I will come up to my foster parents and "ask" them to pick me up, then I'll cuddle into their neck or on their lap if they are sitting down.  I do have a little separation anxiety, but my foster parents are trying to help me through it.  I am also not thrilled with being in my kennel overnight like my foster sisters, but I'm also working through that as well.  It's a work in progress, but my foster parents are pros at this and have a lot of tricks they are going to try to help me through this.  I'm still a baby and act like one sometimes, but I'm also adorable, smart, and well worth the effort!  I would do just fine in a home alone, with other dogs, kids, or whoever, as I'm quite adaptable and eager to please.  I will need training to complete the training I have already started, but I would make a great addition to your home.  One extra special thing about me- one of my back paws only has 3 toes instead of 4.  I was born this way, and it just makes me unique.  Thank you for taking the time to read my bio.  I can't wait for find my forever family!
