Blanche is a southern gal who is doing great in Minnesota. She is a sturdy ten-pound Chihuahua mix, born approx 5/10/23, with a thick, gorgeous red coat. She LOVES spending time outside, no matter the weather.  She enjoys spending time indoors, cuddling next to her humans, but loves to get outside every chance she can.

Blanche is completely house-trained. She is quiet in her kennel, but we give her free roam of the house most of the time now and she does great. 

She tends to ignore other dogs and cats – she just isn’t the playing type.  However, she loves kids and is very gentle and loving with them.

 She has a very strong prey drive, so your yard will become bunny-free under her watch.  For -that reason, a fenced yard is ideal.  However, she does do well on a tie-out in her foster’s yard. 

Blanche is learning to walk on a leash and does well most of the time, but if she feels pressured or doesn’t want to walk, she will just lie down on her back.  So, she will need more training in that area. She hasn’t shown interest in toys since she’s been here. She loves enrichment activities such as snuffle mats and other things that allow her to use her nose. She loves to eat!  Treats (and kind!) are her favorite!  She also loves to look out the window and watch what’s happening in the neighborhood. She is an excellent cuddler and sleeps quietly with me at night. Blanche is a sweet, sweet girl who is looking for a family to give her the wonderful life she deserves.

Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Dental, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee:
