Scooby is 1.5 years old and is the sweetest gentleman. He enjoys taking naps, playing with toys and other dogs. He is also great with cats! There are no small children in our house but my guess is that he would be great because he’s so mellow.

He doesn’t really get into things he shouldn’t or chew anything. He’s also a very good listener. He is a bit food aggressive, but who can blame him after his ordeal? However, he’s calmed down on waiting for food since he seems to know he will get food everyday.  Look at how good he’s sitting for treats! 

Scooby is mostly house trained if you pay attention to him. He will sneak away towards the door or he will come up to you and whine when he needs to go. He does great in his kennel, but prefers to hang with the other dogs if they are around.

Scooby knows the command “sit” and is working on “lay down” and “wait”. He takes corrections incredibly well. He does pull on the leash on walks but I think a harness in which the leash attaches by the chest would correct the pulling. 

Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $575.00

We are 100% volunteer based, so on occasion it could take more than the standard 24 hours.
